Leaving Atimi

I have left Atimi Software Inc. after three years being there, for personal reasons. I loved developing for the Mac, and now is an exciting time especially with the iPhone and its SDK — but it is back to the Windows world for me. I still will develop Mac stuff as a hobby, for sure. An opportunity presented itself to get in on the ground level with a web startup that I couldn’t pass up, I will blog more about it when it is appropriate.

So is now a good time to apply for a job at Atiimi, I had heard bad things about them being a sweat shop (especially their president, Gully) ? Since you are no longer there and can speak freely what do you think of them as a company ? Do they really have 60+ people or are those all contractors and not really employees ?

Before I apply I’d be interested to know the real scoop.

I heard they have had major cutbacks and are in big trouble due to financial games by Gully. Anyone else hear that ?
